Laurens Way ♥

So I thought it was about time I joined in on the buzz surrounding the new launch of 'LAURENS WAY' - a self tanning range from TOWIE star Lauren Goodger !

There are three products in the 'Laurens Way' range. The first product is an 'Instant Self Tanning Lotion' in 250ml for £15.95. The second is an 'Instant Self Tanning Bronzing Mousse' in 150ml for £17.95. Finally you can purchase both the mousse and the lotion in a double pack for £33.90. All products can be purchased HERE and the website also offers users the chase to purchase gift certificates between £10 - £1000.

I have yet to purchase this tan, as I wanted to hear some reviews first. The response for both the mousse and the lotion has been really good and has been blogged about many times since its launch. Personally, I always tend to favour a mousse over a lotion. Mousse is normally easier and quicker to apply, and tends to give an even and streak free result when applied properly (with a tanning mit). So I will defiantly be purchasing the mousse. When I self tan I always (unless I'm rushing) do my full body, so I am hoping the mousse will last me a while. I will be doing a review on this tanner next week to check back for that :) ..
Always remember to exfoliate your full body before applying any self tanner. Ensure all dry areas (elbows, knees and ankles) have been moisturised at least an hour before application. I always recommend everyone to have a tanning mitt handy also.

The official product description for the mousseLauren's Way Instant fast drying, super-lightweight, easy-to-apply, velvety mousse delivers the ultra-even all-over tan you’ve always wanted. Suitable for all skin types to give you a Long-lasting colour, you’ll have a perfectly natural looking, streak-free tan that dries in an instant. Apply in the morning giving you the confidence to wear throughout the day.

The official product description for the lotion; Lauren's Way Original Instant Self - Tan Lotion has an inspired formula which is specially created to give you the richest, deepest tan. Infused with a silky moisturiser and long lasting colour, simply smooth on to deliver an ultra-even tan. So whatever your skin type, it’s easy to use for the most natural looking tan. If you desire a darker tan, Lauren's Way Original Self-Tan Lotion can be reapplied over consecutive days delivering the ultimate tan.

What do you think ?
Have any of you guys tried this yet ?
How does it compare to other tans you have tried ?

Ps. Video review to follow :) .. but for now check out Really Ree's Blog for her take on 'Laurens Way' and her video review.

Hair rehab is a company founded and designed by Lauren Pope ( DJ, Model, Cast Member on T.O.W.I.E) which offers Clip-in hair extensions.
On her official site www.hairrehablondon.com Lauren states ;
"Our 100% human hair extensions are the affordable and achievable option for longer and fuller hair, giving you the option to style or dye your hair as desired. We have used a completely unique design making the process far more comfortable, easy and effortless whilst giving you a completely natural look within minutes."
The extensions come in one pack, that will cover the full head and are available in 18 or 20 inches in length. There are a variety of shades to choose from and will cost you around £80. The extensions can be cut and coloured to any shade or style you like, and can be worn whenever - as they are not permanent. Many celebrities have tried and loved these extensions  such as Maria Fowler, Bianca Gascoigne, Nicola Mclean and Katie Price ( if its good enough for them, its good enough for me) ! I am going to purchase these extensions within the next week ( changing my hair colour from red/plum to dark brown & need new brown extensions ) .. so I will defiantly be sure to do a review for you guys .. but by the sounds of it, they have had a fantastic reception so far ! I have used clip-in extensions for years and find them so much more manageable and affordable than glue-in bonded extensions - something that I have also tried various times and each time has caused serious damage to my hair.
Check out the Hair Rehab site for yourself ;

Speeking of Hair Rehab .. my own hair is really dry and damaged at the moment. It has been abused by my constant colouring and curling/straighting. I have been wearing it tied up alot at the moment, just to give it a break, and have been using this product the past few weeks ;

Wella Professionals Care Enrich Dry Hair Medium Conditioning Mask. Which is avaliabe for £19.98 for a 500ml Tub. Costly - but worth the money, I have noticed my hair more soft and healthy looking. This product is a must for people ( like myself ) that tend to forget the heat protection spray or colour their hair often. You can purchase this item HERE :)

What products do you use ? Has anyone tried Hair Rehab Extensions ?

St Moritz DARK

Hi Dolls,
So I recently purchased the St Moritz self tanning mousse in 'dark' and what a HUGE mistake that was. This is most definitely the worse self tanner I have ever used. I have been eager to try this for a while now, as I have heard mixed reviews and have had a good experience using the original St Moritz. This tan is avalible from a variety of places (local chemists, online, discount stores) for around £2.99 for 200ml. St Moritz comes in mousse, spray and 'soufflé'. I found the formula to be; and the mousse to turn; very runny compared to the original. The colour is a lot darker, which was expected. I had exfoliated first using the 'Fake Bake - Rough To Buff Body Polish' which I purchased from New Look for £4.99 which I highly recommend (it smells amazing and leaves your skin really soft) and applied the tan using a tanning mitt which is essential to avoid over stained hands. I tanned my full body very quickly (due to my mitt - if you don't have one, please invest in one you wont regret it) and took care going over knee's, elbows, ankles and any dry areas. I left the tan to develop overnight, and rinsed it off in the morning. The colour was uneven and streaky and was a lot darker than I had anticipated. The worst thing I found about this tan, was that when it fades (I noticed it had started fading the second morning) it goes really cracked, sort of snake-skin like, which was disgusting. It also seemed impossible to remove from my skin. I tried various exfoliators and tan removers but nothing seemed to shift it. St Moritz DARK for me, was a total let down. I doubt very much that I would ever use it again, and wouldn't recommend it.

Have you used this tan before ? How was your experience with it ?

Rebel Fleur

Hey Guys this is my first post on my new 'beauty blog' .. just a place for me to ramble on about the going-on's in my life and my LOVE for MAKE-UP !!!  I'l also post product reviews, tutorials, up-coming product launches and some videos when I get round to it. Anyway, for my first post I thought I would write about some of my favourite products that I use regularly.  So I used to wear a tun of make-up every day, which took me a while to apply and caused my make-up to run out very quickly. Iv gradually managed to reduce it down, and stick to only a few products during the day time.

First off I use a base before any foundations, I have two which I absolutely love ;

The first one is called 'that gal' and its a primer by Benefit Cosmetics (http://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk) and its around £21.00 but really worth the money. I feel that it makes foundation cover your face more easily and helps it stay on longer. Its a peachy/pink shade and isn't greasy or heavy like some moisturisers. The second one is called 'Skin Dew' and its from Virgin Vie (http://www.vieathome.com/) and its around £15.00. Skin Dew is a lot smaller than the first primer but you need only a tiny amount to cover the full face, so it does last a while. Its a sort of pearly pink shade and would suit most skin tones. You can also use it to highlight your cheek bones on top of liquid/cream/mousse foundations, I would definitely recommend you to try these products if you haven't already.

After my primers I use my concealer and foundation. My current concealer is from Rimmel London, and its very creamy and covers any imperfections and blemishes. You can purchase it from (
http://www.superdrug.com or just go in-store)  its around £5. I don't tend to use this too much as the foundation is more than enough. I have tried many different types and brands of foundations over the years and always seem to resort back to 'Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish'. This is a creamy foundation, which comes in a compact with a mirror and a sponge applicator which is handy if you need to re-apply throughout the day. They come in a variety of shades for all different skin tones. I currently use the shade 'Honey Beige' for every day wear and have 'Toasty Beige' (which is slightly darker) that I use when I have a tan or to contour my face when I am going for a night out. You can adjust the coverage of the foundation from medium to high, depending on how thick you want to apply it. For a medium coverage you should dampen the sponge and leave it dry for a fuller coverage. Flawless Finish is around £18.00 in Boots (http://www.boots.com/ or from any Elizabeth Arden Concession in Debenhams/Frasers/John Lewis) however Semi-Chem (http://www.semichem.co.uk/) sell it for £10.99.

 I received an amazing product as a gift for Christmas, which is called 'Blush Gloss' - £10 and its also from Virgin Vie. This is transparent gel/gloss formula and goes on the cheeks clear. It then works with the PH of your skin to determine which colour it turns. (Pale/Fair skin - light strawberry pink result and Medium/Darker skin - deep cherry pink/red result). This is AMAZING and definitely worth a try .. you can also use it on your lips and it turns different shades according to the PH of your skin ( the same as the cheeks ).

Finally I add some mascara and Lipstick. I have been using 'BAD gal lash mascara' - £16.50, from Benefit for a while now and wouldn't change it. Its one of the best mascaras I have used, it catches every lash doesn't clump them together. You can get this in a variety of shades but I tend to stick to the original black. I really really REALLY love PINK LIPSTICK !! .. Dark pink, baby pink, bright pink, reddy pink, coral pinks - I have loads of lipsticks and wear them every day. My favourites are from Rimmel London. One is a baby bubble-gum pink, and the other is a bit brighter. They are both GORGEOUS on and you don't have to constantly re-apply as they are both long-lasting, plus they are both around £5 .. amazing !!

These are the basic products I use day-to-day for work or if I don't plan on really going anywhere special, as I said earlier I tend not to wear too much make-up during the day, and leave all the rest (bronzers/highlighters/eye;brow;lip liners/self-tanners/false-lashes etc. ) for when I am going a night out.
